IMPORTANT: Re. Supercup

Message from Dianne:
Due to the lack of confirmed entries for this weekends Supercup event we have decided to postpone the event and look for a more suitable date later in the year. All entries that have already been received will be transferred to the new date or fees will be returned upon request. As we are running the event to raise money for charity we felt the change of date would hopefully help up achieve our aim of making as much as we can for the two nominated charities.

Race meeting on Sunday – 14 March 2013
Race meeting again this Sunday:

10.15 track preparation
Practice 11 am
Heats start at 11.30 am
Finals @ 3 pm

Times are approximate but usually try to keep to them as much as possible. Appropriate number of rounds held according to entries but intention is minimum of 4 rounds + Finals. Also intend to be away from track by 4 pm.

Club Meeting 10th March

Hi everyone

Please note that when I booked the meetings last year, I had not taken into account that it was Mother’s Day on Sunday 10 March and booked a meeting.

I have now cancelled the meeting so the next club meeting will not be until 24 March. Please pass the message around to anyone that you think may attend and may not look on Oople.

17 March is the final round of the Chadderton Series so no club meeting that day.

I have had an email from the sports centre to say that we will still have to pay the rent as we need to give 6 weeks notice to cancel a meeting.

Quite a few drivers have said they will not be attending but the hall will be available as no-one else will be allowed to use it because we have to pay for it so if enough are interested in setting up, ensuring everything is put away etc then a meeting could be on.

Usual ones who deal with keys and container ie Steve Lawson, John Price, James McFadyean, Colin Gill, Jordan Atha will not be there so someone else would need to take charge of it all.

Need to bear in mind that it would be a smaller meeting so everyone attending would need to contribute.

 
Anyone who is interested in attending on 10th March, please make this known on the forum so as a final decision can be made as to whether a meeting will run or not.
